- Boston Applied Technologies
Incorporated (BATI), a leading developer of light intensity and
polarization management products, today announced the release of
a new member of the Eclipse VOA family, Directional Variable
Optical Attenuator, or DVOA. The VOAs currently on the market usually
are bidirectional devices. Based on BATI's Eclipse high speed
VOA and OptoCeramic technology platform, Eclipse DVOA
provides micro-second optical power control in forward direction
and greater than 35 dB signal blocking in backward direction. This
device contains no moving parts and offers low insertion loss, low
polarization dependent loss (PDL), and wide dynamic range. It is
an ideal device for erbium doped fiber amplifier (EDFA) application
and other events that a directional optical power control is needed.
The compact and robust package also provides space and cost savings
and performance enhancement.
For
detailed information and samples about DVOA, please contact BATI's
sales department at sales@bostonati.com, or call (781)935-2800.
